Thomas Alva Edison is one of the most important scientists in the history of science. However, in his childhood, he always got bad grades at school, until in the end his mother dismissed Thomas from school and taught him himself at home because he had received a warning from the school that Thomas was a child who could not study at school. He is a student who often misses lessons with his friends. At the age of 12, little Thomas Alva Edison already had a small chemistry laboratory. 1 year later he has succeeded in making a telegraph and at that age he has also worked as a seller of newspapers, sugar and fruit on the train for several years.

In 1861, Thomas had the idea to publish his first newspaper on a train which was very useful for meeting people's need for information, his newspaper pocketed US $ 400 in a day.

In 1877, Thomas invented the phonograph, in this year he realized the importance of light sources for human life, then he busied himself with problems that at that time became the concern of many incandescent lamp researchers. Therefore, Thomas put all his energy and time also spent as much as 40,000 dollars in 2 years for his experiments to make incandescent lamps.

In total there are about 6,000 materials that Thomas has spent to make an incandescent lamp, so that Thomas is finally known as the inventor of the first lamp, before finally finding the first electric incandescent lamp that can burn 40 hours on October 21, 1979. Not only that, in the same year Thomas also invented a projector for small films. In 1881, for the first time he installed electric lights in the streets and houses 1 km away in New York. And in 1890, Thomas founded the General Electric company, so that in the end he is also known as the inventor of the first electricity for electric lights.
